Terms of use

Haydi plans self guided trips. We write the route, the nights in each base, the places to stay, the day by day plan, the transport legs and the practical details, and we link you to the operators and hotels who sell them. We track what you have booked and remind you when a booking window opens.

• We never book anything for you.
• We never quote a package price and we never sell a departure.
• We never hold a place, take a deposit or take payment for travel.
• We are not a travel agent and we are not a tour operator.

Every booking is made by you, directly with the airline, hotel, rail operator or supplier, on their terms.

Prices, opening hours, timetables, visa rules and entry requirements change. Where we show a fact we show the date it was checked. Anything marked estimate is an estimate, and anything marked risk is a forecast, not a promise. You must confirm the details that matter, including visas, passports, insurance, health requirements and government travel advice, before you book or travel.

You need an account to have a trip written. Sign in is by one time code sent to your email, so keep your email secure. You must be 18 or over. Do not share your account, and tell us if you think someone else has used it.

Writing a trip costs us money, so accounts have limits on how many trips and rewrites they may run. We may adjust those limits. Do not scrape the site, resell plans as your own product, or use Haydi to break the law or to harass anyone.

You own what you write: your paragraph, your notes and your journal. The plan Haydi writes for you is yours to use, print and share.

Finished trips are published to the Haydi gallery so other travellers can read them and start their own version. Published trips carry no name, no contact details and no real dates, and never include your paragraph, journal, budget tracker or bookings. By using Haydi you give us permission to publish your trips in that anonymous form. You can turn publishing off for any trip at any time from that trip's page.

The Haydi name, the site design and the showcase trips are ours. Photographs are used under licence and carry their credit. Do not copy the site or its showcase content for commercial use without our written permission.

Haydi is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss caused by relying on a plan, including missed transport, closed venues, price changes or cancelled services. Nothing in these terms excludes the guarantees you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Where we may limit our liability, it is limited to supplying the service again.

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service at risk.

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and the courts of that state have jurisdiction.
