Two nights at a quinta puts you on the terraces at first light and at the tastings without a drive home. Porto keeps the last two nights, walking distance from everything.

Lisbon

Four nights so the hills stay a pleasure. One of them is a Sintra day.

  • Day 1: land, Alfama at dusk, grilled fish
  • Day 2: Belem at opening, pastel de nata, tram back
  • Day 3: Sintra by early train, palace booked for the first slot
  • Day 4: tile museum, market lunch, fado in a small room

Alentejo

Plains, cork oaks and long lunches. The pace break that makes the north work.

  • Day 5: collect the car, Evora and the Roman temple
  • Day 6: Monsaraz and the lake, wine tasting at the estate
